Japanese air pollution alarm from China

Chiba Prefecture, east of Tokyo, warned that people on November 4 who didn't go out to the streets due to toxic PM2.5 gas molecules might have exceeded the permitted limits.

This is the first warning issued in a locality in the Tokyo metropolitan area since the warning system went into operation in March 2013.

The average hourly pollution density of PM2.5 molecules from 5-7 am on the same day exceeded 85 micrograms (μg) / m 3 of air. This means that the measured density exceeds the daily average limit of 70μg according to the new standard.

The density from 88μg to 127μg measured at 3 locations in Ichihara city but did not determine the cause of pollution increase.

The problem with these 2.5 micrometres of dangerous molecular particles is due to the western monsoon winds coming from China.

PM2.5 is now becoming a major problem in China, causing air pollution and seriously affecting human health.
