On that basis, the International Fund for Wildlife Protection (WWF) is working to help the Sao la Reserve Management Board set up additional camera traps, hoping to get more photos of wild animals. Rare and rare occurrence here, contributing to the diversity of unique biological values ​​of our country in general and Thua Thien-Hue province in particular.

Thua Thien-Hue province has just decided to establish Sao la conservation area and expand the area from 12,153ha (according to the unified document of the scale of area in 2008) to 15,519ha.

The Saola Nature Reserve in Thua Thien-Hue province is responsible for preserving the population of saola and ungulates that carry large and carry Truong Son, preserve other endemic and precious and rare species of animals and plants. Species, genetic resources and habitats exist.

Once established, the protected area has been protected with separate functional zones, strict protection zones, ecological rehabilitation zones and administrative and service zones.

In particular, the NR includes an area of ​​remaining natural primary forest in the central Truong Son area. This is one of the places with the most biological diversity in the region and around the world, is the home of rare and endemic mammals such as saola, Truong Son, large gills, zebra rabbit and many other plants and animals of the central Truong Son.
