Launching Vietnam Nature Museum

Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology has just launched the Vietnam Nature Museum (BTTNVN) and the general planning of Vietnam National System for Tourism to 2020. + Could you tell us the difference of Vietnam National Museum compared with other domestic museum system?

- Until now, there have been museums in the form of sociological museums in Vietnam and some establishments collecting specimens of small nature at schools and ministries. Therefore, this is the first time, the Government decided to build the Vietnam National Museum with new functions, different from the existing traditional museums such as the Museum of Ethnology, History Museum, Revolutionary Museum, Museum. The museum will be a place to exhibit and preserve samples of nature, disseminate educational knowledge and promote a comprehensive value of the nature of Vietnam. As a kind of natural history, opening the system of natural museums in Vietnam, Vietnam National Museum promises to be a very interesting and interesting address for all visitors. Vietnam News Agency will spend about 3 hectares for indoor displays, including five areas: the universe, the earth and the life, nature and people of Vietnam; Vietnam natural resources; protecting Vietnam's natural resources and nature, the development history of science and technology. The remaining 7 ha is for outdoor display.

+ Currently, when protecting natural resources and protecting the environment is becoming an urgent task, what is the meaning of the birth of Vietnam News Agency?

- I think that the birth of Vietnam National Park in the current situation is very necessary to timely meet the global trend, which is an effort to seek positive solutions to protect the environment and natural resources. + In addition to displaying artifacts, what other support activities will the NVA organize?

- In addition to displaying endemic species, organisms, minerals and natural conditions of Vietnam, the Museum will regularly organize thematic exhibitions to attract the public. In addition, we will actively expand international cooperation to exchange models, organize alternate exhibitions with international museums, constantly search for specimens to create newness and beauty. diverse and rich for the Museum.

+ Plan for training and developing human resources to prepare for the operation of the Museum in the future?

- Currently, we are waiting for the decision to allocate staff quotas of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, then we will select and appoint staff to train at universities, museums and other institutions. Research institutes at home and abroad. We attach special importance to building a team of collaborators. Currently, in addition to 20 staff of the Museum, we have gathered a team of collaborators near 100 scientific researchers, experts and experienced managers in the country. The sample source is the soul of the museum so we are preparing a strategic project for this issue, to ask the Government for permission to exploit the animals and plants in nature (of course must strictly abide by the current regulations of the State and the international conventions that we have signed), receive specimens seized by the State authorities of hunting elements, illegal trading in the market. In addition, the museum will also have to rely on the help of zoos, wildlife farms.

+ NVA was born, meaning Hanoi will have an interesting address for tourists? What will the museum do to exploit this potential source?

- From the beginning, we were very interested in tourists, because between the Tourism and Museum sectors, there is always a very close relationship. When planning, we envisioned the number of tourists coming to visit as well as the issues related to the reception of tourists. Hopefully, Vietnam News and Tourism will soon go into operation, soon to complete with the national museum system to contribute to serving Vietnam's tourism in general and Hanoi tourism in particular.

+ What do you expect from the development of the museum in the future?

- I believe that NVA will be a unique highlight of the landscape and artistic architecture of Hanoi capital. This will be the work of Vietnam to play a key and important role in the conservation and management of the country's natural resources values. Certainly, this project will continue with the capital of Hanoi and our country of Vietnam.
