Building Vietnam Nature Museum

Vietnam National Museum of Nature will be built for the purpose of scientific research on nature, supporting member museums in collecting, manipulating and displaying natural specimens.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has just approved the policy of investing in the Vietnam Museum of Nature Museum at the request of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. Location to build the intended museum in Quoc Oai ecological urban area, belonging to three communes of Liep Tuyet, Ngoc Liep and Ngoc My of Quoc Oai district or the Village of Culture - Tourism villages of ethnic groups in Vietnam, Dong Mo and thi Son Tay commune, Hanoi City.

Quoc Oai ecological urban area can be chosen as the place to build the Vietnam National Ecological Museum.

According to the plan, this will be a leading national nature museum with the capacity to research nature science, support member museums in the system of natural museums of Vietnam on scientific research, collecting, manipulating and displaying natural specimens .

The project will be built on an area of ​​32 hectares, including: indoor display area, area for the collection of national specimens, evergreen closed forests, caves, rocky mountains, stone parks, geological gardens , exhibition area combined with study, research center and office, service area, floating island lake and aquarium, technical area and specimen processing.

The project is divided into two phases, Phase I from 2015 to 2020, site preparation, infrastructure construction, procurement of equipment, organization of searching, receiving, collecting and collecting samples. objects, building scenarios for display and display, exhibitions, planning and training of human resources. Phase II from 2021 to 2025 and the next phase will complete the infrastructure construction items, equipment procurement, search, reception, collection and collection of specimens and complete exhibition displays and exhibitions, training of human resources.

The master plan of the system of Nature Museum in Vietnam approved by the Prime Minister in 2020 will be a national-level museum, a system of natural museums in Vietnam.

In our country, there are a number of natural museums dating back to the French time, but there is no natural museum system yet, so the effects of science, education and propaganda are limited.
