This is confirmed by a recent study by psychology professor Erik Thiessen of Carnegie Mellon University in Young magazine.

Most adults talk to newborns in a way that is often called "direct talk", which means using simple and short sentences combined with accent and high-pitched accent. Many studies have long proved that this is a way of talking that attracts the attention of children. However, the effect of this "communication" doesn't stop there.

Thiessen's research also found that compared to the way adults talk, this particular way of talking can also help children learn words faster . In a series of experiments, his professors and colleagues gave the 8-month-old children live a direct speech that was spoken smoothly with accent and high pitched voices. After 2 minutes, the children can learn the words but are slower than the children who hear similar communication but are told with high accents and accents suitable for children.

This new discovery by Prof. Thiessen also explains why many adults have to struggle to learn a foreign language even though they can be proficient in their native language. It can be concluded that children learn to speak from haphazard statements that they hear and many scientists believe they are capable of learning languages faster than adults.

Professor Thiessen said: "Learning a language is essential to every child because communication is an extremely important activity in their lives later. Interestingly, the adults we can help them with. learn to speak faster thanks to the special way of communicating with children that we often use " .
