Little known facts about kiwi birds

Trust me guys. Our kiwi bird is the "superbird" of the bird world.

Hello! I am a kiwi bird.

For those of you who don't know what a kiwi bird is, please say that I'm New Zealand's mascot. Why they don't see me as a mascot is unknown, but I believe we really deserve it.

Because the kiwi house is an extremely special species, you will not expect it.

1. I have wings, but the "weird" wings in the world of birds

There are more than 10,000 birds on this earth, only 60 of them are flightless. In it, there is my Kiwi.

Because I don't know how to fly, since my eyes were born, my body has been equipped to run as fast as possible. For example, I bloom very quickly, and my belly will be filled with egg yolk to live without eating for at least 2 and a half weeks. The faster we run, the higher our survival rate will be.

And also because I don't know how to fly, my wings have evolved to . lose. But I still have wings, it's just the baby and the most deformed in the world of birds.

2. Our moms are real "superbirds"

Our kiwi house is small, flightless, gentle and looks . harmful. But listen, we're a resilient species anyway, especially female kiwi.

The resilience I want to talk about here is the birth story. Because, our eggs are one of the largest eggs in the world, according to body proportions. Like my eggs, it accounts for more than 25% of my mother's weight.

Our kiwi house is small, just about the size of an industrial chicken. But our eggs are 6 times bigger than chickens. If compared, it is equivalent to the fact that human women have to give birth to a child who weighs nearly 18kg without counting amniotic fluid.

So just say, our moms are really superbirds!

3. Having eyes that are blind but in exchange for being the best in the world of birds

Our kiwi house is a nocturnal species, but confidently, whether it's night or day, our eyes are obscure, we can't see anything.

But in exchange, my nose is better than the other birds. This is because the receptor senses the smell in my nose more than the rest of the world. Well, if the world gets a nose, it will damage the eyes and accept it.

4. My name has a separate writing rule!

Remember, when referring to my name, never write "Kiwi" with a capital "K" . This is the common name for New Zealand's "countryside" with us (New Zealand is the land of Kiwi).

And we are "kiwi", remember!

5. Never think that we can deceive us

Although I cannot compare with the great macaw and crows, I am also proud that the kiwi has a memory that falls into the best.

I remember correctly that humans tried to trick us with a voice recorder of the same type. But only for the first time. The next time, we remember how the speaker sounded and there was no way to be fooled anymore.
