Lonely Planet voted 10 most beautiful wonders on the planet
The famous tourist site publishes the list of the world's most beautiful landmarks in mid-August, in 'Ultimate Travel List', based on expert reviews.
10 most beautiful wonders of the new planet have been announced
1. Population complex of Angkor Wat, Cambodia
The complex consists of more than 1,000 temples and tombs with unique Khmer architecture, considered to be the largest religious monument in the world.Temple in the first half of the 12th century under King Suryavarman II to worship the god Vishnu in Hinduism.By the end of the 12th century, Angkor Wat from a Hindu religious center turned to Buddhism and continues to this day.
2. Great Barrier Reef, Australia
Stretching for nearly 3,000 kilometers of northeastern Australia, it is home to the world's largest coral network with thousands of species of fish and marine life.
3. Machu Picchu, Peru
Machu Picchu consists of more than 150 buildings with stone walls that do not use mortar, only stone slabs that fit together mysteriously.Known as the "Lost City of the Incas", Machu Picchu was discovered by Hiram Bingham on July 24, 1911, and became one of the most popular tourist attractions in South America with 1, 2 million visitors a year.

The arena consists of 50,000 seats for the audience to witness the competitions of the gladiatorians built from 70-72 AD.The Colosseum has long been considered the symbol of the Roman Empire and one of the most beautiful Roman architectural forms left.
8. Iguazú Falls, Brazil
This spectacular waterfall lies on the borders of Brazil and Argentina.The waterfall is taller and wider than Niagara Falls, with two floors consisting of 275 large and small waterfalls pouring down in the form of horseshoes.The name falls to the Guarani natives called Iguazu which means 'big water'.
9. Palace of Alhambra, Spain
The palace was built by the Moors from Northwest Africa, who ruled the medieval Spain in the Narsid architectural style, with ivory and jeweled arches and statues with abstract drawings showing bold Islamic culture.Alhambra Palace is located on Sabîka hill with 720 m in length and 220 m in width.
10. Aya Sofya, Turkey
This is both a basilica, both a mosque and a museum in Istanbul, Turkey.The building was built some 1,500 years ago on the orders of Byzantine emperor Justinian I, demanding that it embody the heavenly paradise and overshadow the beauty of wonders in Rome.
