Looking at the dog face guessing the mood

Survey of American scientists at Walden University in Minneapolis showed that dogs also have the ability to express facial expressions and humans can detect the mental state of the dog based on facial expressions there.

We all know that dogs are happy to be given food and we know their status. Moreover, Professor Harris Friedman, Dr. Tina Bloom and colleagues said that many people can recognize more subtle expressions on the face of dogs such as sadness, anger, fear, aversion, and surprise.

The team thinks that people can understand each other's moods through facial expressions and similarly, they also have empathy through the facial expressions of the animal that evolved alongside humans in the last 100,000 years.

The experiment was performed on a 5-year-old dog, Mal, of the police force, belonging to the Belgian sheepdog, by creating different emotional situations in this animal and taking pictures. Later, scientists invited 50 people to view this image and judge Mal's emotions.

The team found that the excitement in dogs is most easily detected with a true guessing rate of 88%. Next, angry mood was discovered by 70% of people; Fear is 45% of people who find out and 37% of people know sadness. Very few people find surprise or boredom in dogs, belonging to a group of people who often have a lot of dog experience.
