Magically rare parrot born from stamping eggs

A owl parrot in New Zealand, a rare and endangered species of parrot, was miraculously born from a cracked egg retained by conservationists with tape and glue.

Ranger Jo Ledington, a forest ranger, succeeded in healing the stamping egg because the egg membrane was still intact. The little parrot is named Lisa One . Currently, the parrot is being raised in an incubator and cared for very well until one can determine his gender.

Deidre Vercoe Scott, of the Owl Parrot Rescue Center on Codfish Island (New Zealand), where the parrot was born, said: 'People have touched it lightly and helped it stand for the last few days, that's because dedicated care of our expert team ".

Kakapos are flying birds from New Zealand and have been listed as endangered in this country since the 1950s.

The birth of Lisa One parrot has helped increase the total number of these parrots in the world to 125.

Four other eggs are also found in Lisa's mother's nest and they are keeping them in the incubator and plan to hatch them next month.
