Malaysia produces biodiesel
Datuk Sabri Ahmad, chief executive of Golden Hope, said the group began production of its first commercial biodiesel at the Teluk Panglima Garang plant for export to China, India, South Korea and Japan. and Europe.
The Golden Hope plant in Pulau Carey, Kuala Langat, will begin production of the oil in early 2007 and will have a capacity of 60,000 tonnes of biodiesel per year.
Golden Hope is also negotiating to build a biodiesel plant in the Netherlands and another plant in Bintulu, Malaysia. With four plants, Golden Hope expects a total production of 390,000 tons of oil per year.
