Maldives is about to build a series of artificial floating islands

Maldives recently revealed a "bold" plan to build a series of artificial floating islands, on which there are golf courses and resorts. The project is implemented by Docklands International Group of the Netherlands.

Floating island area with grass, green trees and fresh sea climate is considered a destination for harmony with nature and environmentally friendly.

The work consists of 43 separate floating islands called Amillarah . There are swimming pools, hotels, resorts and private piers on each island.

On the star-shaped floating island is the hotel system and the modern conference facilities.

The project of building a series of floating islands including 18-hole golf course. To reach the golf course, you must go through the undersea tunnel section.

The project is expected to start construction later this year. The golf course was put into use at the end of 2013. By the end of 2015, the whole project will be completed.
