Marine creatures 'carriers' re-exported after 100 years

A cloudy, invertebrate creature named Bathochordaeus Charon was recently discovered off the coast of Monterey (California, USA). 100 years ago, this creature once appeared but then disappeared without traces.

According to Live Science, the mysterious creature Bathochordaeus Charon was first discovered 100 years ago, specifically around 1899 by a scientist named Carl Chun. Chun believed that the creature lived in the deepest part of the ocean, so named it Charon - a Greek mythical character transporting dead bodies across the Styx river.

Creature named B.Charon.

However, all this time, no one could catch B.Charon. Until recently, a scientist named Rob Sherlock saw a B.Charon off the coast of Monterey (California, USA).

B.Charon is an animal known for its deep-sea nickname, tadpole-like body parts: a large head and a tail. A B.Charon can be up to 10cm in size. By wagging his tail, B.Charon will stir up the water and pull the food directly into his body. Then, the food is absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract with a total length of about 1m.

This creature is said to be very rare. Previously, many people had encountered a similar creature, but in fact, this is another species called B.Stygius. Even because it was so rare, many people did not believe that B.Charon really existed, and that the scientist Carl Chun lied. However, after the event the scientists caught a B.Charon, Carl Chun seemed to be vindicated.
