Marvelous paradise on a mountain range

In the Navajo region of Arizona, in the southwestern United States, there is a mountain range that looks as if heaven is Mount Antelope .

The special thing of sandstone here is the stone formed from the fossil sand dunes of the former Jurassi desert . The age of this fossil is dated to about 200 million years.

Amazing curving lines are the result of the flow, the impact of floods and the power of the wind. Wavy lines of different colors are called Liesegang Bands . They are formed by oxidation movement and precipitation of iron and manganese.

The concave slices, gradually following the time of ingrained into the rock, created the work that today people claim to be "the work of the gods". The magical canyon of Antelope Canyon is divided into the Upper Antelope and the Antelope Lower Antelope. Each part has a distinct beauty.
