Men sleeping after 0h are prone to infertility

Chinese researchers found that sleeping after 0h caused sperm to weaken, possibly even leading to infertility in men.

"Sperm of low-sleepers is reduced in both quantity and survival," the team from the University of Ireland's Medical College (China) wrote in Medical Science Monitor.

According to Medical Daily, to give the above conclusion, the authors divided 980 healthy Chinese men into 3 groups: the first group went to bed at 20-22h, the second group went to sleep at 22-0h and the last group. go to bed after 0am. The alarm time is fixed so the rest time of the groups fluctuates within 6-9 hours.

After the observation process, the team sampled the semen of the volunteers and found that sleeping less than 6 hours or longer than 9 hours negatively affected sperm quantity and quality. The cause may be due to unscientific living habits that increase antibodies against sperm, causing healthy sperm to be destroyed. More dangerous, if this antibody is too high, sperm will be hard to reach and cause infertility in men.

Currently, although there is limited data, scientists agree that sleep is extremely important for sperm. A work that once pointed out that a man who sleeps less than 6 hours has a 25% decline in "sperm" . To protect the health and limit the risk of infertility, the best men should rest from 7 to less than 9 hours per night.
