Microsoft upgraded Office Compatibility Pack
Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack is a suite of utilities to help users manage files from Microsoft Office 2007 through previous versions of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack (MOCP) is useful because you can install Office Compatibility Pack on a computer using Microsoft Office 2000 or Office XP or Office 2003 to open, edit and back up files in the Open XML format. Office 2007 like xlsx (Excel), docx (Word), pptx, ppsx (Powerpoint).
Microsoft is expected to increase user support to extend the standardization for its Open XML format.
Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack version 3 for Word, Excel, Powerpoint 2007. Compatible with versions of Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 operating system; Windows Server 2003; Windows XP Service Pack 1. MOCP has also been upgraded with the Office Isolated Conversion Environment (MOICE), a tool designed to create an extended security layer for file formats of earlier versions of Microsoft Office.
