Millions of people are threatened with drought

Tearfund wants rich countries to help poor countries cope with drought. Britain said hope in the conference on climate change next month. countries will reach agreement on a budget to do this.

Tearfund's report, Feeling the Heat, calls on donors to have early help policies. Other charitable organizations also made similar calls during the period before the global conference on November 6 in Nairobi. Tearfund said that in Brazil, one in five people in the northeast region must move to avoid drought.

Three provinces of China are also affected by desertification of the Gobi desert. In Nigeria, about two thousand square kilometers each year become desert. Behind the drought is many economic difficulties that hinder people from leaving restricted areas.
