Monster shark weighing 7 quintals biting Irish fishermen

An Irish fisherman takes 90 minutes to pull a monster shark weighing nearly 700kg off the water during a fishing expedition off Ireland.

Ben Bond, a 26-year-old fisherman from Ilchester, Somerset, wrestled with a six-foot-6-foot shark during an hour and a half while fishing in Carrigaholt waters of Clare County, Ireland on May 4, according to Sun.

The monster in the deep sea was dragged along beside Ben's fishing boat and longer than half a boat. Ben and the boatman Luke Aston can't pull the animal up on the boat but they calculate the weight based on its formula of measuring its two-meter length and waist.

Sharks weigh at least 680kg.

According to Luke, the shark weighs at least 680kg, making it the largest case of catching not only in Ireland but also in Europe. After releasing the shark safely, Ben was tired from sailing to the port and celebrating by drinking beer.

"It was really massive. When he bit his bait, I felt it was very heavy. I thought it would be difficult to pull it out of the water, but the real war started when it rose. After about 75 minutes, I looked. I saw it near the water surface and my eyes were almost protruding. Its length from head to tail was larger than half a boat, it had very large jaws, then I was tired outside and had to rest for a while , " Bond said. to speak.

The six-bearing shark has the scientific name Hexanchus griseus , spends most of its time in the deep sea and rarely contacts humans. Only one attack was recorded within 500 years. They eat other sharks, rays, squid and crab. They also specialize in the scavengers of animals like seals. This shark has sharp teeth and is very similar to shark fossils from the Triassic period.

To be officially recognized as a record, Bond must kill the shark and weigh it on the shore. But he did not intend to do so because the six-bearing shark is a threatened species.
