More evidence of obesity virus

Picture 1 of More evidence of obesity virus Researchers at the University of Wisconsin (USA) have discovered a virus that causes obesity, which can increase animal body fat stores.

In previous studies, the team concluded that Ad-36 virus increased fat and reduced cholesterol and triglyceride levels in chickens, mice and chimpanzees.

Researchers believe that the viruses of the Adeno group have an important role in explaining an increasing prevalence of obesity worldwide, although science has sought to influence diet and patient's workout.

Adeno is a virus that spreads through direct contact and often causes respiratory illness. Depending on the virus, it can also cause digestive diseases, eye infections, kidney infections or rabies.
