More than 9 million liters of oil spill into the Gulf of Mexico every day
The US scientists have just released the latest calculation of oil spill disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, whereby the amount of oil escaping from the bay every day can reach over 9.5 million liters.

According to the AP, scientists from the US government confirmed the amount of oil released from the well leaked from 5.5 to over 9.5 million liters.
"We use a variety of scientific methods and use the latest information gathered from the seabed to calculate the amount of oil released from BP wells , " said Steven Chu, US Energy Secretary. .
Also according to the calculations of scientists, as of June 15, the total amount of crude oil escaping from the well since the drilling rig of BP on April 20 has reached more than 438 million liters.
BP Group placed a funnel-shaped cap into the leaked oil well to draw some of the oil onto the ship above the sea surface. AP said, the amount of oil being smoked on board every day reached nearly 2.5 million liters. But oil extraction had to pause yesterday after a fire broke out on the oil suction vessel. BP announced the fire did not cause any damage and the oil suction operation was resumed about 5 hours after the fire.
Under pressure from the US government, BP will gradually increase the amount of oil that is smoked on board until drilling two other wells next to the leak well is completed in August. The suction system can reach a capacity of 8.3 million liters. / day at the end of June and nearly 13 million liters / day in the middle of July. After two wells have been drilled, oil leakage may end permanently.
