Last week, he photographed a storm in Groningen, Netherlands, to upload to his blog. But when he checked the camera to review the pictures he had taken, he discovered a UFO shaped like a jellyfish floating in the sky, emitting a strange blue light.
Perton said: 'From the window of the house, I saw the haunting beauty of the sky, and I waited for the rain to come out of the house to take pictures.'
'When I was taking pictures, something flashed. At first I thought it was the flash of the camera, but before that the flash still turned off, and there was no rain falling into the lens. "
'I suppose it must have been a lightning bolt - but when I got home I discovered something strange in a photo I took - something that looked like a UFO.'
Since the photo was posted on the Internet, many heated debates have erupted on the mysterious halo. However, despite speculating that it might be an alien object, Perton said there must be a reasonable explanation.
He added: 'Personally, I'm not a believer in UFOs - I think it's a meteorological phenomenon. Perhaps a sunbeam has penetrated the storm clouds and created this effect. '
