According to the researchers, the mysterious structure has a cone, made up of "original stones and basalt". The entire structure, with a height of nearly 10 meters and a diameter of about 70 meters, is estimated to weigh up to 60,000 tons, heavier than most modern warships today.

"The dive into the sea to check revealed, this structure was formed from basalt rocks up to 1 meter long and obviously not chiseled . Similarly, we did not find any signs. Any arrangement or walls indicate this structure, ' the team reports.

The researchers say this is certainly a work created by human hands and can be built on land, but then covered by the Galilee Sea due to rising water levels. They explain: "The shape and texture of the structure submerged in this seawater is unlike any natural object. We therefore conclude that it is a human product and can be called a stone mound. pyramid".

Currently, the mysterious structure needs archaeological excavation so that scientists can find related artifacts and determine its lifespan and purpose.

Researcher Yitzhak Paz from Israel's antique management agency and Ben-Gurion University believe the structure may be more than 4,000 years old. He said: "It is logical that it belongs to the third millennium BCE because recently people have found other megalithic phenomena of this time".

Mr. Paz and his colleagues listed many examples of megalithic structures discovered near the Sea of Galilee, dating back more than 4,000 years. One of them is the Khirbet Beteiha iconic area, located 30km northeast of the mysterious stone structure. Khirbet Beteiha consists of 3 concentric stone circles, of which the largest stone circle of which is 56 meters in diameter.

If the idea of a date like this is proven to be true, the mysterious structure should have been moved almost 1.6km north to a city called "Bet Yerah" or "Khirbet". Kerak " . In the 3rd millennium BC, this city was one of the largest in the region. "This may be the most powerful city in the region and possibly across Israel," Paz said.
