NASA builds electric planes
American Space Agency (NASA) launches new electric powered aircraft, equipped with 18 engines on the wing.

The aircraft has a wingspan of 9.4 m, powered by LiFePO 4 lithium iron phosphide batteries. It can fly at speeds of 321 km / h and reach a height of nearly 4,000 m. It has seating for 4 passengers and will fly about 720 km.
18 engines will help reduce drag when climbing and narrowing the wing design. They can also be adjusted to help reduce noise and consume less power.
According to UPI, the vehicle is not ready for flight. NASA experts will test by attaching wings to a truck, driving through a dry lake at Edwards Air Force Base, California.
NASA's LEAPTech engine research project commences in 2014. "LEAPTech is capable of converting, applying as a conventional civil aircraft as well as becoming a means of transport for long periods of time ", specializing in aerodynamicist Mark Moore said.
