NASA launches the spacecraft to explore the Moon's atmosphere

The US Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) on September 7 successfully launched a new generation rocket carrying a spaceship Explorer and the Moon's Atmosphere (LADEE).

The missile launch begins at 10:27 am 7/9 (Vietnam time) at the Wallops Flight Facility in Virgina State, USA. The vessel LADEE is intended for intensive research on the atmosphere and dust around the Moon.

Half an hour after the launch, a NASA official said the ship was in good condition and entered orbit at the specified point. According to NASA, after arriving at Moon's orbit on October 6, LADEE will stop at an altitude of about 250km from the Earth's surface within 40 days and then descend to a lower altitude to carry out the activities. With the design as a module, LADEE will operate itself around the Moon's orbit. The LADEE explorer ship is also equipped with a new communication system, which transmits data about the Earth with lasers instead of radio waves.

In addition, this unmanned spacecraft also carries three other tools, including a neutral mass system to measure chemical changes in the Moon atmosphere and tools for the purpose of external stratification. the same of the Moon atmosphere and dust particles.

NASA experts hope that the aforementioned new methods will help decipher the long-standing mysteries about whether the moon's dust from the ultraviolet rays emits brilliant rays, phenomena that the Apollo crew has observed since 1996.

The launch of LADEE is an attempt to bring people back to NASA's Moon in the framework of the "Constellation" project, which was postponed in 2010 due to limited budget.
