NASA presents new astronaut outfit
After a referendum on the world's people about the latest three Z-2 astronaut designs, NASA decided to sample 'Technology' as an astronaut outfit for astronauts in future.
The latest astronaut suit named Z-2 , developed with three different designs, represents three themes: future social trends (Trends in Society), the combination of achievements Past and future science (Technology) and finally the ocean inspiration (Biomimicry).

The voting results show that the topic of Technology holds 233,431 votes, accounting for 63% of the total votes, officially becoming the new generation astronaut design for future astronauts.
The 'Technology' model is inspired by the upgrade of the classic travel suit with photovoltaic wires and glowing patterns. In addition, it is equipped with Luminex wire, which emits light in the night, making it easy for NASA to monitor astronaut activities during space walks. Technology is also equipped with a wear resistant plate.
The Z-2 is the next generation version, developed from the Buzz Lightyear Z-1 model, which was voted by Time magazine as the "Inventor of 2012". The Z-2 outfit has many changes in design and has many superior features compared to the prototype. It is resistant to external impact, especially at the top and bottom. The Z-2 model was used by ILC and Philadelphia University to use 3D printing technology to develop and measure sizes suitable for each astronaut.
NASA will put the Technology design into production and perform the final test at Johnson Space Center, Houston.
