NASA's Artemis vessel has been completed, ready to take the first woman to the Moon

The space chamber of the Artemis project is tasked with bringing the American astronauts to the moon already prepared. The completion of the Artemis 1 compartment was announced by Vice President Mike Pence in a speech at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida on the 50th anniversary of Apollo's moon landing.

Since 50 years after the first man to set foot on the moon, NASA hopes to recreate this feat. However, this time, at least one of the crew members will be women. Specifically, NASA announced, the ship Artemis will bring the first woman to the Moon.

NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine said: " Like the 1960s, we are now given the opportunity to make a great step forward for all of humanity. President Trump and Vice President Pence gave them I was a bold move to return to the Moon in 2024 and then to Mars. The assignment here was not only empty words, but the leaders supported NASA with NASA calls this the Artemis program to honor the moon goddess, the twin sister of Apollo in Greek mythology, and we're in the process of completing it. into this mission . The Artemis 1 compartment will be carried on the Orion spacecraft and the new generation spacecraft launcher named Space Launch System (abbreviated as SLS). According to the plan, the mission begins with a step in bringing the crew to the moon by 2024, and the Moon will serve as a stopover for manned missions to Mars later.

The module containing the crew called Orion was designed by making a pressure tank mounted inside the storage system at the NASA Assembly Facility in New Orleans. Once completed, the pressure vessel was transferred to the Kennedy Space Center to be inserted into the container after other necessary components were assembled.

Along with Orion, the European Space Agency's European Service Module will also participate in the upcoming mission. This is a German-made module that provides power, thrust and cooling mode. Two modules need to be joined together and fitted with a rear heat shield.

After the work has been completed, the next stage for Artemis is being tested at NASA's Plum Brook Station in Sandusky, Ohio.
