Netherlands introduces gasoline pumping robot
In cold weather, if you can pour gasoline for cars at automatic petrol pumps without stepping out of the car, what else? That dream of the Dutch ' doctor ' will soon come true.
On 4-2, Dutch inventors launched the world's first automatic pumping robot called " Tankpitstop ". When a car arrives at a petrol pump station, the robot automatically identifies the vehicle, matching it with its data to find a fuel tank cap and compatible fuel. A robotic arm then extends out from the gas pedal, carefully opening the fuel tank cap, lifting and moving the gas nozzle to the fuel tank.
The inventor of this type of robot is Nico van Staveren, who manages a petrol pump station. 'Once on the farm, I saw a robot robot milking a cow. I think if the robot milking cow can also pump gas. The drivers do not need to dirty their hands or smell the gas! He said.
Van Staveren hopes to bring " Tankpitstop " to all petrol pumps in the Netherlands later this year. This robot is suitable for all types of vehicles without the need to open the fuel tank with the key. To own the " Tankpitstop " robot, petrol station owners must accept a small amount of money: 75,000 euros (111,500 dollars).
