The new Travelstar 5K160 hard drive has a rotation speed of 5400 rpm, maximum recording speed of 540Mb / s, 160GB capacity is designed specifically for laptops with higher corrosion resistance. The PMR recorder (Perpendicular Magnetic Recording) allows for more accurate data recording and iridium-manganese-chromium (IrMnCr) material promises to double the reliability of this hard drive.

In addition, Hitachi also has hard drives and technology with smaller capacities (40-120GB) for users to choose from.

The handset market also welcomes a new storage product: SanDisk RapidGX, a dedicated memory card for the PSP (PlayStation Portable), recently introduced by SanDisk at the E3 fair.

RapidGX is 1GB in size, comes with software that allows users to easily transfer data between PC and PSP via a drag-and-drop screen. SanDisk also offers a new Memory Stick PRO Duo card reader, which enables the speed of Rapid GX data transfer to the highest level (about 15MB / s). PRO Duo also connects to a computer via USB port as other card readers.

Although this is noticeable, this product set has a soft price: 84.99 USD for RapidGX and 40.00 USD for PRO Duo.
