CipherTrust's IronMail Edge 2.0 is designed to fend off the popular spam delivery methods using a combination of e-mail addresses.

Alex Hernandez, director of advanced product development at Alpharetta, (the security firm has just won the August 31 "Secure Computing" title with $ 273 earned in July).

IronMail Edge 2.0 protects directory search results by checking all incoming e-mails, such as a company's LDAP list, and then sending out messages to non-existent recipients. In a directory detection attack, spammers use different usernames to gather spam e-mail addresses. 'LPAD allows us to verify who is a real user and helps us reduce a large amount of bad traffic.' Hernandez said.

IronMail Edge 2.0 can detect messages as well as IP addresses using TrustedSource - the famous IP-based system of CipherTrust. This program is very useful in finding and identifying new zombies or compromised computers that have been used to spread spam.

Ralph Figueiredo, sales manager at Aurora Enterprises, a solution provider in Torrance, Calif said that IronMail Edge 2.0 is appealing to big ISPs and companies. Because they always have a headache in dealing with a large number of e-mails. 'This application has the ability to delete spam from known non-serious senders from outside the gateway. It protects the system against DOS (denial-of-service) attacks and maintains the level of bandwidth available for commercial resources. '

IronMail Edge 2.0 is now available on the market with a starting price of $ 9 995.
