New technologies turn waste into valuable products

With new technology, steel dust (a form of dust-containing iron) will be recycled and put into use.

This technology was introduced at the workshop ' OxIndus technology: turning waste into valuable products ' to introduce technology to process and recycle steel dust to enterprises and promote the transfer of this technology into Vietnam. .

The workshop was jointly organized by the Department of Technology Application and Development (NRD), CMM (France), the French Company for Chemicals, Metals and Minerals (CMM) in Hanoi. on 26/11.

OxIndus technology helps solve steel dust problem.

OxIndus technology helps solve the problem of steel dust (electric arc furnace steel dust) introduced two processes: completely recycled steel dust, deployed in steel plants, concentrated in the dust stage Steel with additives and recirculation in the arc furnace allows the recovery of iron losses, improving the content of valuable metals (zinc) contained in the dust, reducing the emission of harmful gases and recovering a new kind of dust, rich in zinc and contain very little iron; The refining process helps to thoroughly clean the dust recovered from the steel dust recycling process, allowing the removal of Chlore and minimizing the fluoride content, which is processed centrally in a fully capable plant. Dust from steel mills in Vietnam.

OxIndus technology is considered by scientists to be the most efficient and cost-effective solution for environmental and economic viability in steel production by electric arc furnace technology. The whole process does not generate hazardous waste. The resulting product, called OxIndus, is an auxiliary material for the zinc metal industry.
