Turn waste into treasure

Many parts of the world are using waste to turn them into treasures.

At the 2010 World Expo (World Expo 2010), which is taking place in Shanghai, there are many ways to display that are friendly and eco-friendly to turn garbage into treasure.
.
Some garbage bins are neatly placed next to the kitchen with a sort of waste classification sign. Beside the road, garbage bins are neatly placed with different colors and signs of garbage sorting. Clean waste disposal tools are also equipped with modern equipment that will "swallow" various waste and "release" emissions, provide electricity and fertilizer.

At the Malmo-Sweden exhibition, visitors can clearly see how to sort the garbage in every family in the city. Different waste bins classify different wastes including: food waste, glass bottles, paper and cartons, plastic and metal.

After processing and recycling, waste can be used again, in which food waste becomes fertilizer and biogas production; glassware, plastic bottles, newspaper, and metal containers will be recycled.

The manager of the Malmo exhibition said that in 2009, 77% of packaging and newspapers in Sweden were recycled. Sweden's target is to treat about 35% of biological waste.

At the Spanish Exhibition Madrid, the technology and process of garbage disposal were introduced clearly by the world. Thereby, the waste disposal tools are divided into recoverable waste and irreversible waste. Some of the irrevocable waste is used to produce electricity, and the rest to produce biogas.

All recovered wastes are mainly divided into recycled materials and organic substances. After thorough fermentation and incubation, the organic material will turn into fertilizer for agriculture, or be used to produce biogas and electricity. Recyclable materials such as glass, plastic, metal and paper, can be recycled and made into similar products.

In a scientific and efficient waste classification, Madrid recycles more than 120,000 tons of paper, 53,000 tons of plastic and metal, and 38,000 tons of glass each year.

From waste, the city produces 306,000 kwh of electricity per year, extracts 70,000 tons of organic fertilizer, and reduces CO 2 emissions by 770,000 tons / year. In Madrid, waste is really a treasure.

Since the 1990s, the population of Tokyo - Japan has been increasing, but the amount of waste has been decreasing year by year. First of all thanks to a series of specific laws and regulations to control the cause of waste. In everyday life, Japanese people adopt the "3R" principle that is: Reduce - reuse - redo, reduce the amount of garbage as much as possible.

In 19 years (1989-2008), Tokyo's waste decreased by 38%, from 5 million tons to about 3 million tons. Currently, the average Tokyo people emit 1kg of garbage / person / day. They received instructional materials that told them how to sort garbage, which days of the week could throw them.

In public places like parks, highway stations, garbage bins are lined up in a long line, collecting fresh garbage, plastic bottles, newspapers, combustible waste and others. People can see different types of containers to choose from when removing garbage.
