Not Everest, this is the oldest mountain on Earth

Roraima 2 billion years old mountain is the oldest mountain in the world. The beauty of it made Conan Doyle cry out and affectionately call it "Wonderland".

The Earth was formed in 4.55 billion years from the Sun's nebula. In the early days, there was not any organic life on Earth, but now, our planet has become the most special planet in the Solar System and the universe.
Have you ever wondered how old is the oldest desert, the oldest water molecule or the earliest iceberg?

So let's explore the oldest elements formed on Earth through this article:

1. The ice block is 15 million years old

Beneath the Dry Valley of Antarctica (Dry Valleys of Antarctica) is home to an ancient ice block that has a lifespan of up to 15 million years.

This is the "oldest" ice block in the world, but the ice blocks here start melting after millions of years of "resting" because of global warming.

2. The 80 million year old desert

The Namib Desert extending from western Namibia to northern South Africa was formed 80 million years ago as the oldest desert in the world.

One can immediately think of Mars when looking at this ancient desert, the Namib desert has two types of sand dunes (one with only sand and one with stones).

3. Oceanic shell 340 million years old

The Indian Ocean or Pacific Ocean is not the first oceans on Earth, the original ocean named Tethys discovered in the Mediterranean is the oldest ocean.

Geologists say the oceanic crust is over 200 million years old, some rocks even 340 million years ago.

4. 548 million year old reefs created by living creatures

Stretching up to 7 km, an ancient reef by the body of living creatures is a natural wonder in Namibia, Africa. It is still impossible to explain why this place can concentrate so many dead bodies!

Roraima mountain is also known as Tepuy Roraima and Cerro Roraima is the highest point of tepui Pakaraima plateau South America.
This is a mountain adjacent to all three countries: Venezuela (85%), Guyana (10%) and Brazil (5%). The beauty of it made Conan Doyle cry out and affectionately call it "Wonderland".

First described by Sir Walter Raleigh in 1596, Mount Roraima is the oldest mountain in the world with a life span of 2 billion years.

6. The oldest water: 2.64 billion years old

Located deep under a mineral mine in Canada, it was once thought to be a seabed in prehistoric times. Scientists have taken samples of water here to analyze and prove that this is the oldest water source from the planet. This water is even available before life is formed.
