One more Chinese person died of bird flu

According to China's Ministry of Health, the country has just had more deaths from bird flu. Initial information said the victim did not contact chickens, dead ducks and the area near where he lived also did not have bird flu.

The patient was identified as carrying Lu, 24, who lives in Jiangsu Province, died on December 2 after hospitalization on November 27 with symptoms of fever and cold. 69 people who have been in contact with him are currently being closely monitored by medical staff.

This is the 17th bird flu death in China and the first death since June. Since bird flu broke out in 2003, the country has had a total of 26 people infected.

A country with the largest number of poultry in the world with millions of poultry raised in families, China is now the focal point in the fight against bird flu. To date, millions of Chinese poultry have been killed to prevent the spread of the virus.
