An individual of the Northern White Rhino died on July 28, causing the species to face the danger of extinction when there are only 4 left.

The rhino of Nabire was born in 1983 captivity in Czech. He died of ruptured cyst at Dvur Kralove Zoo, at 31 years old. Jiri Hruby, who looks after the Eastern European zoo, says its disease has no cure. "U diseases in Nabire body are very big," he said.

Premysl Rabas, zoo director, said that the death of the rhino is " an indescribable loss. Nabire's death puts the species at risk of extinction."
According to IB Times, the remaining 4 individuals include one male and three females. In it, Sudanese male 42 years old, rarely reproduce due to age. Its hind legs are weakening, sperm count is also declining. Scientists still hope to maintain this species through artificial insemination or other scientific methods.
