'Panda town'
One day, visitors to Chengdu City, Sichuan Province (China) will have the opportunity to meet and even make friends with one of the endangered animals in the town of Panda Head. First in the world.
According to Yang Feifei, an official from the Chengdu Panda Research and Breeding Center, this 2-km- 2 town will be part of the 30-square-kilometer Chengdu International Ecological Tourism Area.
In addition to the panda town, this resort will have a 100-hectare ecological park and a semi-natural breeding area for pandas, where visitors can admire this rare animal.
The project aims to encourage visitors to spend more time in Chengdu. Currently, visitors only take half a day to visit the Panda Panda Research and Breeding Center. After the panda town is completed, they can stay overnight, spending more time in contact with the pandas at the center. Yang said they could feed them, even as volunteers to take care of them.

It is not known when panda town will be started, but the panda eco-park will be completed and open to visitors next year. According to the Chengdu Culture and Tourism Association, the park is located in the northern suburbs of the city, with a construction cost of 500 million yuan (US $ 66 million).
Chengdu Panda Research and Breeding Center is currently raising 62 out of 1,590 pandas in the world.
