Parallel World: When 2 athletes have the same name and face, but the DNA results are shocking

In cases of doppelgangers, people who look alike can be encountered in everyday life. However, there are also other cases of doppelgangers that are difficult to explain.

Not only do they have the same name, appearance, height, and profession, the two Brady Feigls also discovered each other in an incredibly unbelievable and rare way.

In the world of American baseball, there are two players named Brady Feigl . And their similarities are not just in their names. The chance and interesting 'duplication' between the two men has surprised themselves, those around them and their fans.

Brady Feigl, 32, a player for the Long Island Ducks, looks almost identical to Brady Feigl, 27, who plays for the Las Vegas Aviators . Both are 6 feet 3 inches tall, have red hair, beards and wear glasses. At first glance, anyone who is not a friend or family member would easily mistake them for twins. And when you look at their names, you are even more confused.

Brady Gregory Feigl is 27 years old, born in Missouri and plays for the Las Vegas Aviators baseball team.

Both Brady Feigls play in the Minor League Baseball in the United States. In addition to the similarities in face, name, occupation, and playing position, the way they discovered each other is equally strange: they were treated for the same disease at the same doctor's office at the same time, even though they were in two different cities. And this doctor got his two patients mixed up.

In 2015, both athletes suffered elbow injuries and underwent surgery, performed by the same doctor, James Andrews.

Brady, 32, had surgery six or seven months ago when the doctor's office called his trainer and scheduled a pre-op appointment. As he was clearly recovering, Brady discovered the doctor's mistake, and they had a good laugh about two baseball players named Brady Feigl. The two 'doppelgangers' have been in contact ever since.

They also drew attention when a major baseball organization's social media account tweeted a happy birthday to Brady, 27. However, they mistakenly tagged Brady's 32-year-old account.

32-year-old Brady humorously replied: "Wrong Brady Feigl. Are you looking for @bfeigl39" and tagged his 'doppelganger '.

The two became close friends because of a very rare coincidence.

The resemblance between the two athletes has been so noticeable that many fans have speculated that the two are somehow long-lost brothers. After being friends for a long time, Brady Gregory Feigl and Brady Matthew Feigl actually took a DNA test to see if they were related, given their similar looks. However, the end result was that they were not related by blood or even by common ancestors, not even distant relatives .

American baseball viewers are sometimes a bit "confused" by the two Brady Feigls.

Even though they are not blood brothers, the two affirm that they will stick together for life as close friends.

"We're still brothers in a way. And we'll always be Brady Feigl," the older Brady said .

The two Brady Feigls may not be the only 'identical strangers' in the world. A study published in August 2022 that looked at and analyzed 32 pairs of 'twins' who looked similar to each other but were not related to each other showed similar genes.
