When the whales were discovered, more than 100 local people, including children, ran to rescue.
The rescue team tied ropes to whales up to 5 meters long and pulled them out of the sand to return to the sea.
Seamus O'Domhnaill, a resident of the whale, said: 'Luckily for the whales at that time the tide was starting to rise. They are almost exhausted. We had to mobilize people to water the whales before trying to drag them into the sea. "
When the four whales were found dead, the people had to quickly bury the dead whales to avoid the remaining individuals trying to climb to the shore to save their fellow humans.
