Under the blue water, the two "whales" came near the person standing on the board, curiously looking at him, then looking at the board, then gently swimming out to sea.
Videos of whales familiar with people
This spectacular moment was shot by Jaimen Hudson by flycam on the waters off Esperance, Western Australia.
Two whales swim slowly and peacefully next to the surfers - (Snapshot from the clip).
Telegraph on October 6 quoted Hudson as saying he discovered two fish while filming in Esperance. He immediately ran down to the beach with the camera from above. At this time Dave Price - a local resident, was standing on a board at the sea.
Detecting "strangers" , two fish slowly moved closer. "Sometimes two fish lift their heads to look at Price's plank, they seem very curious and want to know what he is doing , " Hudson said.
"I don't think that's a dangerous situation, the two whales moved to Price very slowly and peacefully," Hudson said.
Hudson then posted a whale video on YouTube and immediately got feverish with over 1.4 million views. By the morning of October 7, the number of views reached nearly 2 million and hundreds of comments.
