Shocked with sightless whales nearly half of people swimming across the ocean

The humpback whale seen off the coast of Colombia with a wound made many witnesses feel horrified.

According to Ladbible, the video begins with a humpback whale swimming normally under the water.

However, when it dove into the water and flipped the back of the body out of the water, the viewer saw a horrifying wound. The whale lost nearly half of its body, revealing its internal body.

It is worth mentioning that despite losing the tail, the humpback whale in the video still swim normally. The video was shot in the Pacific Ocean, off the town of Nuqui in Colombia.

The whale is said to have lost its tail after catching fishermen's nets. Fishing nets may have been wrapped tightly in the whale's tail, preventing blood from circulating so that the whale's tail leaves the body.

The shocking video came back from a member of the Macuaticos fund. This is a marine animal protection organization. The man said the humpback whale may not live long.

"The whale will not live long because the tail is essential for movement as well as deep diving ," said biologist Cristian Bermudez.

Natalia Botero, Macuaticos fund manager: 'We searched for a whale for a week and found a serious wound'.

Botero said the Macuaticos fund is working with locals to prevent future similarities. Botero urged people to change their fishing habits threatening the marine ecosystem.

Experts say the whale will not live long in this condition.

'Local people have been fishing like that all their lives and that's how they make a living. We should find them another livelihood, ' Botero added.

Biologists also urged Colombian fishermen not to throw nets out at sea without control because they could make larger creatures suffer.
