Killer whales encircle seafarers in New Zealand

The three killer whales moved around a swimming woman, panicking, trying to swim to the shore.

Judie Johnson encountered the killer whales near the Coromandel coast, New Zealand, Fox News reported today. Video Johnson swims among the whales recorded by the drone device of Dylan Brayshaw, a seafarer.

"Something moved below me, it was very big. I thought it was a dolphin and quite excited, but then I saw the white mark on his back , " Johnson recalls.

At first, she felt panic and swam to shore. She fears the killer whale will attack her."I think they're eating seals and I'm wearing a black swimsuit , " Johnson said. However, a moment later, she decided to go back and finish the swim. Whales also swim close and do not injure Johnson.

"This experience is different from anything I've ever met. They're also interested and curious about me the way I feel about them," Johnson said. Sometimes, Johnson even looked straight into the eyes of the biggest killer whale.

The killer whale is the largest of the Delphinidae family , according to assassin whale expert Regina Eisert. They are carnivores with prey like seals, sea lions, sometimes other whales. Usually, killer whales do not attack humans. There have been no cases of killer whales eating humans, according to Whale Facts.
