Blue whales were first discovered in the Red Sea

Animals are more likely to get lost in their journey from the Indian Ocean to the cold seas in the north.

The 24m long blue whale was discovered yesterday at Aqaba Bay at the northern tip of the Red Sea. According to the Egyptian Ministry of Environment, this is the first time that the largest animal in the planet appears, the sea can be considered as the cove between Asia and Africa, AFP reported.

The animal is said to have traveled more than 2,000km from the Indian Ocean, crossing the Bab al-Mandab strait to the Red Sea. The appearance of blue whales in this sea is particularly rare and it is more likely to be lost in the journey to the cold sea in the north.
