The trip is expected to depart in mid-2020 and land on Mars in 2021, according to Space.com.
This plan is called the Mars Plant Experiment (MPX) , with the aim of building a small greenhouse to grow plants. If successful, this could be a way to pave the way for people to live on this planet.
The MPX is a self-propelled self-propelled self-propelled robot . The box will be filled with air from Earth and put in 200 seeds of Arabidopsis, a plant with small white flowers.
The seeds will receive water when the autonomous robot lands safely on Mars. Scientists hope that, within 15 days, greenhouses will show signs of life.
