The CriSTAL method is a study of New South Wales State University, headed by Magnolia Cardona-Morrel. CriSTAL evaluated 29 patients' health indicators such as age, disease status, mental decline, emergency hospitalizations, heart rate ., thereby estimating the possibility of death within one month since admission.

With this method, the doctor will have a "clear exchange" with patients at the terminal stage, determining whether they want to receive treatment to prolong life.

"The test is quite simple, the answer is available in the patient's medical record and can be completed in 5-10 minutes," Cardona-Morrel said.

CriSTAL is designed to limit unnecessary and unnecessary invasive treatments, allowing older patients to spend their final days with loved ones. Treatment technology can help prolong patients' lives, however, many people still want to die in their own homes.

IB Times on January 25 said that the CriSTAL test was first introduced at a medical conference in the US and received high appreciation. It is being finalized in some US and Irish hospitals.
