Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thuy, Director of Department of Science and Technology, said coconut nectar was taken from coconut flower corn (local people often called 'cat tongue', 'coconut cotton '). Each flower corn can give bile in a month and the amount of nectar is about 35-45 liters.

Coconut nectar has about 15% sugar, so it has a sweet taste and very pleasant aroma. After obtaining the nectar, the engineers will process, ferment and supplement some micronutrients to produce wine and beverage products.

Coconut nectar can also be used to process sugar. With the current price, the exploitation of coconut nectar to process wine, soft drinks and sugar is more economical than semi-fruit. Giong Trom district's continuing education center is also conducting classes to instruct coconut growers to get nectar (price ranges from 7,000-8,000 VND / liter).

Also according to Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thuy, both products are in the finishing stage to ensure stable quality and longer preservation time before being put into production to supply to the market.
