Professor Ngo Bao Chau received the North Pole

Professor Ngo Bao Chau has just been awarded the Bac Dau Bo General by Nicolas Sarkozy, the most noble medal of the French state, at the Élysée Palace.

The ceremony took place on January 27 at the Élysée Palace. French President Sarkozy personally awarded the medal, Chau said.

After receiving the medal, the Professor went to the United States to continue teaching at the University of Chicago.

Previously, the professor returned to Vietnam in mid-January to preside over the meeting to absorb the experience of the Institute of Maths in the world and organize the launching ceremony of Vietnam High-class Mathematics Institute.
