Prolong battery life
A battery is basically a negative electrode, negative electrode and electrolyte, which have a distinct and independent role. Recently, a team of researchers from the Oak Ridge National Energy Laboratory sought to challenge the theory.
The team's breakthrough was to create a new type of chemical battery .
The team has chosen to work with carbon lithium fluoride batteries . This battery is ideal for capacity expansion and long life at a high level of stability.

By incorporating a solid electrolyte lithium thiophosphate, a new form of chemical battery has formed, in which electrodes and cathodes have cooperated in operation, resulting in a 26% increase in capacity.
Gizmag reports that this new type of chemical battery lasts for years, even decades, so it's great for devices that require long battery life or Replacement batteries, such as pacemakers, automatic locking systems, or remote sensors.
A pacemaker up to a maximum of 10 years is required for surgery to replace a new battery, said Gizmag. But with the new battery technology, the pacemaker can have enough energy to work continuously for 30 to 50 years.
The team's findings have been published in the Journal of the American Chemical Society.
