Researchers say that people who regularly use pure olive oil with anti-nutrient content - called polyphenols - will have a healthier heart than those who use regular olive oil.
According to Dr. Maria-Isabel Covas, head of the research team at the Medical Research Institute of Barcelona (Spain), all other oil-rich plants are also rich in polyphenols, but undergoing the extraction process, it has been lost. As for normal olive oil, there is not much polyphenol in the ingredients because it has been mixed.
