Warning of environmental pollution will be the main theme in the 3rd Film Festival, which is launched by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Vietnam Television and Vietnam Cinema Association on December 22 in Hanoi.

The Organizing Committee of the LHP has proposed the content of the works participating in the 3rd National Environmental Film Festival (LHP), which should reflect the contents of the environmental pollution of soil, water and air; urban environment - industrial zone; rural environment - craft villages; marine and coastal environments; environment and community health; conservation and sustainable development of biodiversity and forest protection; environmental protection activities; excellent teams and individuals, advanced examples in environmental protection .

Deputy Minister of MONRE Pham Khoi Nguyen said that the number of applications related to complaints and denunciations now is 70-80% of land and environment.

However, the tendency of complaints about land is now reduced, environmental complaints increase, especially collective complaints.

Deputy Minister Nguyen said that the current status of the environment has " changed dramatically" .

Typically, in the past, the Thi Vai River is expected to become " a dead river" in the next 30-50 years. However, according to the most recent survey, the river now has about 10km / 76km in a state of "death" , ie no living creatures. This shows that the level of environmental pollution is faster than expected.

Therefore, Deputy Minister Nguyen admitted that the films participating in previous LHPs are more natural, but this LHP focuses on many issues of environmental pollution in the direction of wider, deeper and more complex.

The above content will be conveyed in the form of documentary films, scientific films, reportage films, short feature films and environmental communication programs, including animation genres.

All organizations and individuals can participate in 1-3 movies and each film lasts no more than 30 minutes. The time to register for participation in the LHP starts from December 22, 2006 to September 15, 2007 (sent to the Community Awareness Center, Department of Environmental Protection, 67 Nguyen Du, Hanoi).

In addition to the first, second and third prizes and encouragement, a grand prize "Vietnam Green" at the festival is worth VND 20 million.
