A leaked radioactive material is defined as Plutoni and Americi.
However, the amount of leaks is thought to be relatively small and there is no confirmation that these substances leaked out as well as negative effects on human health.
According to the agency, the radioactive material was found to leak from the joints of steam pipelines separated from low-concentration radioactive wastes and fell to the floor of the waste treatment area.
A spokesman for the research agency said: 'This pipeline system has been in use for about 40 years and it is likely that water will leak from rusty joints' . The radiation leak was discovered on September 12 after the agency inspected radioactive material on the protective clothing of its members.
