'Raincoat' for women - Add a choice for safe sex

Condoms for women are a safe and effective way to prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases . Any woman can use it because it is very comfortable. However, this type of " raincoat " is not yet widely used in developing countries but they are easy to buy and another option to ensure safe sex.

History of " raincoats " for women

The first female condom appeared in the late 1980s and was made of polyurethane - a synthetic resin and called FC - Female Condom. Later, it was replaced with nitrile rubber and called FC2. The benefit of this material is that it does not cause noise when scratched like polyurethane. Both of these forms are available in the market with the names FC1 and FC2 set by the World Health Organization (WHO). They are sold under many names like Reality, Femy, Myfemy, Protective and Care. All of these names refer to a kind of "female condom" instead of new names.

Function

As a protective method used during sexual intercourse, FC is placed in the vagina and has a closed head, an opening similar to a " raincoat " for men. It is responsible for preventing pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.

Effective

When used properly and correctly, FC has a 95% contraceptive capacity. However, many women do not use it properly, so the effectiveness decreases to only 79% in some cases. The contraceptive effect of FC increases with the use of spermicide containing nonoxynol-9. The prevalence of sexual diseases is slightly lower than that of male condoms because FC covers the wider outer skin area and prevents the spread of Herpes disease and other skin diseases.

Benefit

- The use of FC allows women to control the situation and prevent infection.
- Most pharmacies and family planning centers sell this type of condom widely.
- Another convenient point is that when the male is in the ready state, it is still not necessary to put FC in and also "wear" before intercourse. - Condoms are not latex so they can be used for women who are allergic to them and lubricants that are oil and water.
- Finally, the outer ring of FC also has the ability to enhance pleasure for both men and women.

Recommendation

When having sex, both should not use condoms for each person separately because FC may fall deep into the vagina. Although FC is produced primarily from plastics, you should not wash and reuse. The inclusion of FC in can be done before 8 hours. However, condoms must be drawn immediately after ejaculation.
