Rare friendship between dogs and ducks

After the mother duck died of the accused eating meat, duckling Dennis was very caring by a Labrador retriever.

At that time, Dennis was less than a week old and the 4-year-old Fred saved his life and became his "reluctant father" . They sleep together, play together and even swim together.

Dear friends Fred and Dennis.

'When we found Dennis, it was quite weak and almost no chance of survival,' said Jeremy Goldsmit, Fred's owner. Fred immediately approached and began licking Dennis's body. Since then, 2 animals have not left each other half a step.

'At night, Dennis snuggled into Fred's fur and slept soundly, sometimes climbing up on Fred's head. I don't think the duckling will do something without Fred by his side, his loving nature really did something special '.

From a young age Fred proved to be a reliable 'father' for any abandoned animal. He had "forgotten to forget to eat and sleep" to find Lupine, a lost baby deer, Goldsmith added.

Currently, Goldsmith is conducting an observation of the couple to find out if this cohort has any effect on the development of a duckling.'Dennis loves Fred very much, so I think that when he grows up he will have some dog-like traits, can bark or chase the cat for example'.
